Starting on December 24, 2025, Liu Chengrui began his 21-day uninterrupted live performance. In Remnant Disciples, Liu Chengrui stages a futile resistance within institutionalized space and consumer behavior. This futility reveals the powerlessness of those without authority within the real structure, as well as the squeeze on personal circumstances. Even though Liu Chengrui, as an artist, seems able to "empower" himself in the name of art and put on this performative "resistance"...
