Vernal Equinox
"Vernal Equinox": This work belongs to the mid-stage of the "Second Chapter" structural system. The colored squares appearing in the artwork are "color TV signal test patterns." As one of the first virtual products humans encountered, the television's purpose was to assist users and technicians in adjusting distorted images to a normal state. This action marks the earliest instance of humans actively blurring the boundary between the virtual and the real. At this point, Eastern aesthetic paradigms begin to emerge in the composition, reflecting a cultural choice. As technology develops to a certain level, humanity inevitably faces classical philosophical questions again, while also giving rise to existential inquiries about the human soul. This type of thinking is very East Asian in nature.
Here, the "Vernal Equinox" is not just a seasonal concept, but a symbolic point of balance: nature and technology, reality and the virtual, order and uncertainty momentarily align, but do not return to stability.

Li Zhuoheng (b. 1994) was born in Tianshui, Gansu, and currently works and lives in Shanghai.
Li Zhuoheng's work focuses on the human predicament and technological paradoxes exposed by the evolution of technology. He responds to the accelerating logic of technology through poetic forms, translating observable states between humans and machines into an intuitive visual language. In his pieces, austere algorithms and organic emotions interweave and overlap, constituting a fluid new technological world. Through continuous reimagination of the concept of "the future," the artist reveals humanity's "re-understanding" and "re-construction" of the natural environment beneath the illusion of technological progress, thereby manifesting a tension that is both primal and avant-garde—a multifaceted reaffirmation of the intrinsic relationship between humanity and future technology within the torrent of technological advancement.
