Signal tower

This work, part of the Toy Project, revolves around my recent interest in children's play, where children never explain the "meaning" of play, but instead measure the world with their bodies, crushing order into new rules, and in the process generating endless imagination. Hundreds of children's toys collected were sprayed with metallic paint, de-industrialised and treated with traces of use, and transformed into black cell tower installations to express reflections on childhood, consumerism and the impact of technology.
