Li Shangru

Li Shangru, a new media artist, graduated from the School of Design of the Central Academy of Fine Arts with a bachelor's degree in Art and Technology. He is currently pursuing a master's degree in Robotic Art Design at the Central Academy of Fine Arts.

His works involve dynamic installations, interactive images and other forms, showing distinct speculative characteristics and material exploration. Including but not limited to the use of programmable materials and other means, through the logic of matter, culture, cognition, and ideas are restructured into the life activities of "new matter", relying on the interaction of energy and force between matter, and the implicit mechanical changes in culture and ideology. Influence each other, construct a living, vital and energetic artistic expression on the boundary between spirit and matter.

Li Shangru's works have been exhibited at the 14th National Art Exhibition, the Central Academy of Fine Arts Art Museum, the Korean Cultural Center, the 2022 Wuhan Biennale and other platforms. Won the 2023 Central Academy of Fine Arts Outstanding Undergraduate Graduation Works, Outstanding Graduates and other awards.
