无垠的低吟, Phytophilia
‘无垠的低吟’
— 王东翰

In this work, I receive the bio-signal of the plant through Arduino and forward the value of the signal to 18 nodes. When the corresponding nodes are triggered, the 18 corresponding electrodes in the mouth will output 1~5v electrical excitation for the wearer's tongue in accordance with the plant's signal, thus inviting the viewer to perceive the plant and the environment with his/her own tongue. The oral cavity is a highly sensitive personal space, and through this interface I attempt to break down the boundaries between the body and the
environment, emphasizing the complex intertwining and entanglement between humans, non - humans, and chnology, which suggests the dissolution of the boundaries of self/other,
human/non-human, and urges participants to internalize their own connection to the plant world.

At the same time it is a way of deconstructing the artificial separation between humans and other animals, emphasizing the continuity and shared vulnerability between different species. Interacting with "animality" triggers reflection on the primal, instinctual aspects of human interaction with the natural world, and mediates the establishment of species-specific bonds, communication and care through "kissing". Such an intimate act as "kissing" not only symbolizes bonding with nature, but also embodies an actual, physical connection. As Donna Haraway suggests in A Cyborg Manifesto, the concept of the " Cyborg cyborg," a hybrid of machine and organism, is a socially realistic creature and a fictional one that transcends traditional boundaries of gender, species, and identity. It blends human biological processes with technological interventions to experiment with a form of communication that transcends traditional human sensory organs.
