IMG492-Bazaru Nalla
The image of the work draws inspiration from the mural style of Bazaru Nalla, a figure from the central region of India. It depicts the state of a warrior on horseback hunting in ancient or medieval times, and also reflects the worship of strength and heroes during that period. The background is a combination of abstract electronic experimental images, bridging the connection between primitive and modern images and cultures.

Artist's Statement:
Leayoung's practice encompasses multiple media including photography, digital output, and easel painting. The "pointillist" approach in his work is a digital translation of images. Through the analysis and rendering of atmosphere, specific information is blurred. In fact, it is through "scenery, objects, and people" that he conveys the mental state and emotions of contemporary people. This visual "distance" reflects the isolation of individual emotions.
